Talk about good luck!

After just coming back from Harvey Bay I was out fishing when I decided to pull into the Raby Bay Marina, a man in a Sailing Boat asked me if I could give him a hand to pull down and fold up a sail, during that time he told me his crew had flown back to Sydney and he was sailing single handed down to Sydney.

During a general conversation he asked if I was free to crew for him as he wanted to get to Sydney as quickly as he could. After thinking about it for about 15 minutes I decided it would be a great oportunity and probly never get the chance again.

Within an hour we were sailing, I didnt step onto land again for 4 days, 1000 kms south in Pittwater on the Hawkesbury River. Mick was a great Skipper and full of knowledge, Rupert a good friend on the high seas. It was a fantastic experience that I will never forget.

Thank You Mick!

Entering the Hawkesbury River and Pittwater, for Mick it was home at last after sailing up to The Whitsunday's and back! Posted by Picasa
