Big Waves On Sunshine Coast

Went up to Noosa on the weekend, Nice fun waves at First Point, went in again about 5 30 pm and myself and 3 others had the point all to ourselves for about an hour until the sun went down.
Ran into Peter (my old flatmate) this mornin, he's bought a new board and his son David loves it!! It's a beutiful Longboard and he's gonna send me a pic soon.
And I should have some good pics of Noosa Point waves up soon too.
Back to work tomorrow.

Holiday Pics

Hello everyone we are back from holidays, and great it was too! We travelled south along the coast stopping in National Parks to escape the crowds, and only pulled into caravan parks when we needed to recharge batteries and do washing. Hat Head National Park just north of Kempsey was as far south as we went, there were no waves around so we didn't go to Crescent Heads. Nambucca Heads and Southwest rocks were very beutiful and great for snorkelling (which we also did around The Solitary Islands).

Found a quiet little town called Urunga and surfed at Hungry Head, stayed in town next to creek. The town is way old and old pub has vintage photos on wall of olden days, logging e.t.c.

Went up into hills to Dorigo National Park (no surf) checked maps for camping sites, headed out to Flat Platapus (sry Platipus Flats) the long rough bumper dirt track took us to Nymboyda River but the last of the track was 4wd and we made the desicion to turn around.

Rediscovered Coffs Harbour and all the little coastal towns nearby like Woolgoolga, Red Rock and Sawtell. Surfed three different beaches in Coffs and Helen had a ball on her new Surf Mat.
We went out with a Snorkel Expidition to Solitary Islands and snorkelling around those islands was a real blast with large fish, rays and sealife in abundance.

From Coffs headed north to Broomes Head and Sandon, stayed the night in Maclean then got a great tent site right on the water in Yamba, from there headed up to Iluka then Byron Bay for a surf at The Pass, dinner at our favourite Pizza place "Legend Pizza's" and drove home.

We had a great time, Helen loved all the national Parks and we surfed, fished and snorkelled all along the coastline.

It was very comfortable sleeping in the van. We had lots of room and travelled in the lap of luxury!  Posted by Hello
